Omid Tofigh co-manages the M&A Advisory practice area. His primary focus is working with clients on valuations and strategic transactions. He specializes in financial theory and has expertise in performing detailed valuations, including extensive sensitivity and scenario analysis for credit card portfolios, merchant acquiring portfolios, and financial technology companies. Omid also has experience in managing complex transactions from transaction planning through deal negotiations.
His recent assignments have included advising in the sale of a credit and debit processing company, assisting an online commerce company in the acquisition of a consumer credit company, and advising a bank holding company in the divestiture of its merchant acquiring portfolio. Omid’s previous projects include assisting in the renegotiation of key terms in an automobile manufacturer’s credit card program agreement, assisting a diversified entertainment company in the sale of its co-branded credit card receivables, assisting a liquidating trust on the sale of loan and charge-off receivables, helping a group service provider of credit card processing services in the sale of its business, and supporting a processor in the strategic acquisition of several merchant acquiring portfolios.
He has also advised on portfolio acquisitions and dispositions where he assisted one of the largest U.S. banks in its effort to sell certain non-strategic credit card receivables, advised a large North American bank in the divestiture of non-core assets, and performed a detailed valuation of portfolio segments for a large bankcard issuer.
